ICAN

ICAN is an award-winning after-school program located in the East Valley region of Chandler, Arizona. It is a free, out-of-school time program that has been recognized nationally for its contribution to youth development. Since its inception in 1991, ICAN has been dedicated to transforming the social, emotional, and educational well-being of the youth. ICAN primarily operates as a center for in-school life skills training and hosts various youth development programs.

ICAN, with an overarching aim to close the opportunity gap for youth and their families, offers a welcoming environment that nurtures the growth of students. The school serves over 493,300 youth, who might not have access to afterschool programs in their communities. The resources deployed by ICAN are focused on empowering the youth, providing them with life skills training and effectively improving their psychosocial well-being. Volunteer involvement and events like Arizona Gives Day and dreamBIG 2023 are the critical pillars of the center, ensuring the continuity and success of the programs designed for the development of the youth.
