La French Classe

La French Classe is an esteemed educational institution specializing in French language instruction for children of ages 4 to 17, based in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded approximately 25 years ago by a group of French women, trained teachers and concerned mothers, they aimed to retain the French language for their children and the French-speaking community in Phoenix. As an after-school program, the organization presents a comprehensive collection of themes aimed primarily at children who are native French speakers or who are new to the language.

In the quest to cater to the diverse needs of the students, La French Classe delivers two different learning routes. The "Francophone Track" is designed for children who speak French at home. This academic curriculum focuses on writing and the study of language, adhering to the French program of France, utilizing textbooks shipped from France. In contrast, the "Immersion Track" is intended for children who do not speak French at home. This route emphasizes oral discussion, while also teaching how to read and write, but in a less academic approach than the Francophone track. The institution also opens avenues for students to prepare for the DELF exams. All classes occur in Chandler and Scottsdale, with an option for online learning, catering to about 100 students across 18 classes.
